I LOVE balsamic vinaigrette!!! And the best thing is, this one doesn’t have mustard!! (Sorry to all of y’all who like mustard).
One of my favorite foods is this dressing on salad with apples and sharp cheddar cheese like this Apple shallot salad with extra sharp cheddar and candied pecans . The vinaigrette doesn’t just stop at salad, it’s also AMAZING on homemade sourdough, pizzas, or drizzled over asparagus, you name it! If you love balsamic, you must make this dressing!!
My younger brother Tobyn, who is 8 years old, loves balsamic dressing just as much as I do. If we go out to eat and there’s a salad with balsamic, then he’s gonna get it. He’s definitely the only Potter who liked greens at that age!

And of course there’s the peppers, and garlic, which in a round about way has the same benefits as all these ingredients plus it’s also detoxifying and improves bone health!
Here’s how to make it!
Blend together:
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar ( I used Cadia brand from Costco)
1/2 cup Olive oil
1 teaspoon course black pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder or minced garlic
1 Tablespoon dried oregano
1 Tablespoon dried marjoram
1 Tablespoon dried basil
3 Tablespoon raw honey
Then your done! Super easy.
Feel free to add anything else to your dressing! Maybe some Apple cider vinegar, some freshly cut shallots, or if your weird and like mustard, that’s often used in vinaigrette’s also.
