This sourdough pita recipe is sooooo good! It’s really good topping is off with Za’atar and olive oil to make it Manasseh style, delicious!

This pita bread is made with levain, so it makes it better for you!
What’s in it?
- 130g levain
- 473g/2 cups water
- 700g/5 1/4 cups flour
- 18g/1Tbs salt
How to make it…
- Mix levain and water in a large bowl. Add flour and salt then mix. Leave in a draft free place for 8-12 hours/overnight.
- Place on countertop and divide into 16 different pieces. Roll into balls and take your thumbs then pull the dough around and pinch at the bottom. Roll as thin as you can and pull around to make them circle (look at this recipe for step-by-step pics)
- Heat a pan on medium high heat on the stove. Cook pita one at a time by letting them get to the point where they puff up, then flip and cook the other side. Continue until there all cooked. Use them as a wrap, or spread some Za’atar on top with olive oil, or use just eat it plain! Enjoy!
