Baby photography ideas and tips {with sisters and mommy}

Baby’s are so perfect it’s hard not to get pictures of them!!

But sometimes it’s hard to figure out the right angle, especially when you want to get the mommy or other kids with them in the pictures, well, that’s what this post is for!! Keep reading and scroll through these pics for some ideas and tips for your next baby-shoot.

Who’s in these pictures?? My sister, Cheyenne, is the beautiful mommy, with her gorgeous baby girls, Dakota (2yrs), Brynliegh (19mo), Raylynn (2weeks).

Colors are everything… first things first, let’s talk about colors. Colors can tell someone a lot about you, like crazy and fun can be more colorful, or bright and cheery go for something like yellow and grey, and then there’s my favorite, simple, yet a little messy, but just a beautiful life, go for white, beiges, a little pink added for

“I have a new baby sister”. Don’t be afraid to catch the funny pics, there memories! Just take that shot:).

Pictures create emotion, like happy, caring, crazy, calm, and peaceful which is all great. But you don’t want to create emotion like anger, sad, or annoying:).

“Oh baby, don’t cry!” I like this picture because Chey’s hair covering her face and with Dakota blurred makes it focus on Brynliegh trying to calm sweet baby Raylynn.

This picture shows that her big sister cares for her crying, trying to make her happy:).

Cozy up… have baby lay on a pretty blanket or something with light texture to give more look to the picture. (Not like beautiful babies aren’t enough!)

The focus on baby… take focus on baby while still acknowledging the mom is holding her gives the picture some peace, quite, and comfort.

Proud momma!! Show the appreciation and proudness of momma while still giving her the peaceful picture.

Sneak a kiss from big sissy… tell one of the kiddos to kiss the baby on the check while sleeping, this gives comfort, and love from her big sister:).

Get some baby feet pics! doesn’t she look so snugly? Focus on those little baby feet and create depth by blurring the rest of baby.

Catch that smile! Babies give you that little smirk and it’s the cutest thing!!
