BUBBLE WAFFLES!! Ever had them before? There’s these delicious waffles made in a special iron to create an amazing’ fluffy yummy breakfast or treat:).

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY PAISLEY!!
My sister and I were recently working together for a seasonal Christmas job and there they had a bubble waffle stand. We’ve never tried them before so thought what the heck! I mean, waffles are Paisleys (my older sister) favorite food. So we tried them and they were so fun!! I had a s’mores one which the marshmallows texture was awesome with the bubbly-ness of the waffle, and Paisley had an Oreo one. So from there I knew what I was going to get my sister for Christmas, a bubble waffle maker!! Every year for my sisters birthday she wants waffles, so today (January 6th) I made her waffles!! And of course, that led to pictures;).
Fun fact!! bubble waffles original name is “egg waffle” which means “little chicken egg” in Chinese.

What’s in it:
- Overnight sponge:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 cups whole milk
- 135g sourdough starter
- Next morning:
- All of the sponge
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
How to make it:
- First, your going to make the sponge. Mix all the sponge ingredients together and cover overnight. (Don’t forget to feed your starter:) ).
- The next morning, preheat your bubble waffle maker. Add the eggs, melted butter, baking soda, vanilla, and salt to the overnight sponge, stirring until combined.
- Butter waffle maker. Using a ladle, pour some batter in waffle maker. The waffles took about 2 minutes and 45 seconds to cook.
- Now have fun!! I made homemade whipped cream and had some raspberries and blackberries with some maple syrup and a honey drizzle. You can do Nutella and bananas? Homemade marzipan with toasted coconut flakes and cinnamon? Do a savory one with avocados, egg, cilantro and sour cream. Enjoy!!
