I know it’s hard, life. It can be difficult but we are called to overcome it!! Pain can come, disasters, situations you would never wish upon anyone, but YOU GOT THIS!! Why?! Because GODS GOT THIS!! And when you accept Him in your heart and put your faith in Him, He will help you through the struggles!! You don’t have to worry. When God is in our hearts we have nothing to worry about. Just don’t give up!! Hang on tight!! The enemy tries he’s hardest to wiggle into our lives when they’re at the deepest because he knows we’re looking for something more. That hole you need to fill isn’t anything that the devil can fill, but only what Jesus can❤️. You got this girly!! 💪🏼

The mountain goats.

Up here in North Idaho, we have a mountain called “Scotchmans peak”, it’s an amazing mountain, in fact, it is the highest peak in Bonner county towering at 7,009ft elevation!! This mountain is home to some beautiful mountain goats, and I knew one day I wanted to see them. Back in July of 2022, my sister and I went up to Clark fork where I photographed a wedding for the first time, and my sister Paisley, did the brides makeup. It was held at this adorable cabin near the Clark fork river tucked by a mountain near Scotchmans peak. It’s owned by an awesome couple who recently took the cabin over and made it into an adorable living space. I got to talk to the owners and I knew I wanted to visit them again someday and hike that peak!! So coming into October, we were able to book the beautiful cabin and hike the amazing peak!! But boy was it adventurous….

Hiking, we’ve never really been on more then a mile or two hike and certainly not a tall mountain, so this was a first!! Having a bit of fear if we would run into wildlife, we knew this would be an experience. But we also knew that we were going to get to the top of this peak and experience an amazing opportunity to see mountain goats and the stunning views of layering mountains in Bonner county.

My cousins Suburban, named: Tha Burb. 😉

Rolling up to the spot where the hike begin, we were the only people there. Ok, this ought to be interesting…. (just remember, we ain’t no hiking pros here) we get up and the first ten minutes my sister starts feeling wheezy, oh no, we’re never gonna make it up to the mountain!! After stopping a few times she starts gaining energy back and feeling energized. Yay!! But boy was all of us starting to get out of breath, legs getting sore, sweating, feeling like we’ll never make it to the top. But we just kept reminding ourselves, “the view!! The mountain goats!! The serenity!!” Ok, we got this 👍🏼. It was October 19th and being in the cold part of America, you think we would have been freezing so we bundled, but before to long I was in my tank top!! Thankfully it wasn’t any hotter or colder!!

We made it!! We completed the hike, stopping to observe the views every now and then. It was AMAZING!! Seeing Gods creation in a different view has always amazed me, we weren’t completely at the top yet but we were sad that goats were nowhere to be found…

But we didn’t climb a 7,000 ft mountain to not see any mountain goats?! Looking and looking we see these little guys heads pop up over the peak, and so the adventure wasn’t over… we went up to where we saw those little heads and there they were!! Two mamas and two babies, so not only do these mountain goats live on the highest mountain in Bonner county, the literally live on the top of the peak!! Over looking Gods beautiful creation, there they sat…

God doesn’t want us to give up, He wants us to persevere tell the end. “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:2-3 NIV just remember, that mountain in front of you has a much better view on top when walking with Christ :).

Everyday is like a mountain to climb, but it’s worth it in the end.
