White coffee is sweet, subtle, creamy, nutty, deliciousness….
What is white coffee?

White coffee is, simply put; the lightest roast coffee, it’s like, lighter then light roast. It’s higher in caffeine, and higher in antioxidants! When brewed, white coffee is a light yellow-y color. In my opinion, regular coffee is better…. but white coffee is a fun change:).
Quick facts:
- White coffee….
- Originates from Yemen,
- Where it was traditionally flavored with “Hawaij spice”, made with cumin, black pepper, turmeric and cardamom.
- Roasted at 325° vs regular coffee is roasted at around 450°.
- Taste nutty, not much “roast-y” flavor.
- Is a light yellow-greenish color.
- Contains more caffeine then regular coffee because it has a shorter-lower roasting point.
- Has higher antioxidants mostly chlorogenic acid then regular coffee.
- It usually comes pre-ground since the beans are harder then fully-roasted coffee.
- Contains less “acidity” then regular coffee.
Health benefits of white coffee…
White coffee is higher in antioxidants (mostly chlorogonic acid) which is great for overall health, it’s anti-cancerous, it rids the body from free radicals, and more. Chlorogenic acid has been known to reduce the risk of diabetes, reduce blood pressure, and stimulate weight loss. White coffee is also smoother on stomaches since it has lower acidity. And lastly, white coffee can and will give you energy (duh!).

We sprinkled the top with pumpkin spice, over a heart cut out paper.
I like the pumpkin spice with white coffee because the subtle sweetness of cinnamon and the AMAZING flavor of cardamom works awesome with the flavor of white coffee.

How to make white coffee??
First, let’s start with the ingredients…
White espresso, boiling water, coconut sugar, and milk foam, pumpkin spice.
Now we make it:) We made this white coffee using a moka. Moka’s are a traditional Italian way of making espresso, if you sadly do not have a moka on hand, you can make white coffee with a different espresso maker of your choice (but I do recommend using a moka).
In your Moka, fill the bottom with HOT water right below the value. Fill basket with ground white espresso, screw the top on and place on stovetop then turn to high heat. Once you hear the water start to boil, you can open the top and see the coffee come out! Once the top chamber is full and the moka is being “noisy”, your espresso is ready. Now put the moka in a ice bath to prevent from burning.
Make your milk foam by pouring milk into your frothier and turn on “cappuccino” setting. (Use milk frothier manual for more info)
Pour coconut sugar in cup, fill almost to the top with white espresso, top it with a bit of milk foam, sprinkle some pumpkin spice on top and enjoy!!!
