New Years drink!!! {kaffir lime coconut vinegar drink with butterfly pea flower}

Happy New Year everyone!!! This drink is to celebrate a New Year coming ahead.

The flavor of kaffir lime pairs well with the tang of coconut vinegar softened by the sweetness of honey with a touch of butterfly pea flower for a fun color!

Topped with sugared blueberries and a sage leaf, this drink well sure bring joy to the New Year!

Kaffir limes….

Kaffir limes comes from Southeast Asia and Southern China. They are very high in oils and so are their leaves. The kaffir leaves are used in many Thai cooking, but the fruit themselves are amazing as well. These little bumpy limes my seem like they taste like regular old limes, but no… they taste similar to lemongrass and have similar compounds such as eucalyptol, citronellal, and citral (also found in galangal).

It is a great digestive by helping produce more good gut health and help balance ph since it is high acidity. It may help with weight loss by making you feel fuller for longer, strengthen immune system and promote a healthier heart.

I like to drink this drink warm, but if you prefer it cold, feel free to ice it!!

What’s in this drink?

  • 1 kaffir lime, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon coconut vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon butterfly pea flower you can also use the tea as well.
  • 32oz warm water
  • Toppers:
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Sugar
  • Sage leaves
  • Toothpicks

How to make this drink?

  1. Mix ingredients together in a pitcher, pour into cups.
  2. Roll blueberries in sugar, poke sage leaf and sugared blueberries through toothpicks.
  3. Serve warm or ice if desired. Top with blueberry sage toppers. Enjoy!!
