Valentines latte {Orange blossom Pitaya ginger}

It’s February all ready??? That means Valentine’s Day is coming! Here’s a latte of fun flavor and color, perfect for Valentines day! Never thought orange blossom would just fit so well with milk, especially when paired with pitaya and ginger! Sooooooo good!!!

Orange blossoms are, well, blossoms of the orange tree! Before the fruit comes the flower right? Well did you know that those flowers taste amazing….!? Did you know that orange blossom water can ease upset stomachs and help indigestion! It’s also in antioxidant and can help clear your skin:).

Pitaya is the reason behind that beautiful pink color!!! Pitaya, also known as Dragon fruit, is high in antioxidants, vitamin c, magnesium, iron, and more. High in fiber Pitaya is also good for digestion, it’s also good for diabetes, and preventing cancer! Since Pitaya is a prebiotic, It also helps improve gut microflora like Sourdough.

Ginger is known as one of the healthiest plants, and it tastes delicious!! It’s high in antioxidants, it’s anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory. And can help with weight loss, nausea, lower blood sugar, and more!!

For the beautiful heart on top, I used organic ebony carrot powder from the same people I bought the pitaya powder from. Amazing color, isn’t it?

It’s easy to make those cute hearts! Just cut out the size of heart you want from a card stock paper and place in tip of the cup, sprinkle with ebony carrot powder (or beet powder could work too!!) then voala!

What’s in it?

  • 1 tablespoon pitaya powder
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • Honey to taste
  • 32oz milk

How to make??

  1. Add all of the ingredients together in a milk frothier, (or on stovetop). Use milk frothier as you normally do, or mix everything today in a pot on the stove and heat until right before boiling.
  2. Pour into mugs, place cut hearts on top, sprinkle with ebony carrot or beet powder. Then enjoy!!! Happy Valentine’s Day!
